The very first edition of Japan Cosmopolitan was issued under the "MORE" magazine in September 1979.

Next issue released as classic COSMOPOLITAN magazine apart from the MORE in May 1980. 

Inspite of biweekly numeration the magazine has always been a monthly publishing.
