1994
First USA edition of ELLE decided to make spanish version of this magazine for spanish speaking population of the USA. It started as EN ESPANOL version. Then Mexico decided to have its own edition collaborating though with the US Espanol version. So the magazine came out in "MEXICO" & "EN ESPANOL" editions. They mostly just copied each other, both content and cover, sometimes covers were made different. ELLE ESPANOL repeated ELLE MEXICO issued one month later.
ELLE CHILE started in 1994 as well, mostley doing its own material mixed with ELLE Espanol edition.
The content was half the same, the covers mostly different. Sometimes they duplicated the ELLE Espanol 100%.
ELLE COLOMBIA joined this family in 1999 but also wasnt an independent edition but a replica of spanish ELLE family repeating the covers and the content.
So there aint no 3-4 covers of your favourite model if she has graced ELLE Mexico, ELLE Colombia and so on. Its all meant to be Latin American ELLE magazine.
