The release of Vogue Japan had been delayed a few times from 1998. Finally it had a cover ready for the first issue for July 1999, but again was delayed. So the first version of cover remained unreleased and the premiere issue came out with another image - Kate Moss and a japanese model together appearing in September 1999 issue.
